“Avoid problems, and you’ll never be the one who overcame them.”

December 31, 2011

I think this Richard Bach quote that an old mentor of mine often used, sums up 2011 fairly well.  All over the world people have been making radical changes.  Look at the massive protests around the world, letting those in charge know that when people unite and work together, they are a more powerful force than money, guns, and fear.  And these changes are happening on all levels of humanity.  In the last year I’ve witnessed a number of long-term relationships and marriages suddenly come to an end.  I’ve heard stories of folks just up and quitting their secure well paying jobs and becoming a farmer, or going back to school, or moving to another city altogether.

I don’t know what’s causing this massive shift in human consciousness.  I’ve even asked around about some new age possibility like a major planetary alignment, some hidden message in Mayan astrology, subliminal psychic contact with extra-terrestrials, residual genetic effects of the Higgs Boson machine, etc.  I’ve found no explanation as to why human beings all over the world are suddenly waking up and realizing what they’re told is good enough just isn’t.

And we’re not done yet.

I believe the changes in 2011 will pale in comparison to what we’re going to accomplish next year.  On a personal level and on this blog I’ve chronicled major shifts in my own life: from intense emotional challenges; to physically changing my home, job, habits, hobbies, and relationships; and mentally maintaining a positive mental attitude that has no limits.  This is merely the foundation for the excellent life I intend to create.

To transition from this wonderfully challenging year into the year of infinite possibilities, I give your one more Richard Bach quote:

“I gave my life to become the person I am right now. Was it worth it?”
